Leila is a beautiful girl who is very easy to be around. She is quiet and respectful and tries not to be a nuisance. She loves being near people, not in your way but just hanging out. She will come up and lean on your leg if feeling unsure or just for a chest rub. She is a very sweet girl and is just searching for a hooman who will give her all the love and security she needs.
We suspect Leila has not seen much of the world in her short life which means she can be nervous of new situations and people she doesn’t know. We will not place her into a family home with young children for this reason, but she would likely adore older gentle children over 10 years.
Leila is good with other dogs, is scared of goats and showed interest in chickens but quickly ignored them once told no. We do not know how she is with cats. She is definitely a lover not a fighter and the more time we spend with this girl, the more we see how wonderful she is. She already knows her basic manners and listens very well, she is working on leash manners but does not pull on lead.
Can you offer Leila lots of love, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, quality food, daily walks and toys to play with?
As with all Pound Hounds, Leila must be allowed to be inside the home (this includes to sleep) so she can really be a member of the family.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Children 8 and over, unsure how she is with cats but may be ok with a dominant cat that stands it's ground
