Adoption Status: Available
Foster Status: In Foster Care
DOB: Approx January 2016
Breed: Lurcher (Whippet x Beardie?)
Size: Small Medium (currently approx 18-20kg, he's not a big guy)
Fencing Requirements: Minimum 1.8m of secure, dog-proof fencing around the home
Hobbies: Going on adventures, hunting rabbits, cuddles on the sofa in front of the fire, gardening (well, digging actually!), going for rides in the car, WALKIES (he'd make a fab running/hiking buddy)
Good Habits: Clean, smart, quiet, crate trained, toilet trained, social with everybody and everything (except pigs), gentle.
Bad Habits: Super social with most dogs, but is dominant towards entire male dogs.
Personality Type: Soft and sweet, an absolute honey with people BUT he does have hunting instincts with small furry things. We would not rehome Neville with young children just because of these instincts although his nature is very gentle.
Special Requirements: Daily exercise is an absolute must, and Neville requires a low-fat diet as he has suffered from severe Pancreatitis previously.
Ideal Home: A calm and quiet household with daily walks and adventures, then just relaxing around the home, preferably with day-time company or another dog for company.
Adoption Fee: $285
Neville is one out of the box. He is soft and gentle and the loveliest dog but he's got character too.
Neville deserves the very best home, and we are determined to find that home for him. He's great on lead, great in the car and pretty much all round great...although his new hooman will need to be mindful of his masculine attitude towards entire male dogs and take care to prevent altercations.
Can you offer Neville games, adventures, fun, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, cuddles, and good conversation?
Do you have an understanding for what individual dogs need, and are you committed to providing for those needs?
Neville wants to be loved, and he will give 200% back to you. Once your eyes connect with Neville, life will never be the same again …
As with all Pound Hounds, Neville must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
