Adoption Fee: $285
Scooter is a handsome, affectionate and playful boy. He loves to run and play with doggy friends or sit leaning against your leg, adoring you and waiting for some love.
He is currently in a wonderful foster home where he is getting to go on lots of adventures, meet lots of people and play with lots of dogs!
Scooter loves to snuggle with his hooman, so if you're looking for a best mate, Scooter may be the guy for you. He loves play time too, his ball is his favourite, but he loves all his toys. Scooter is very active so a home that can match his activity level would be best. He would make a fantastic family member - long walks or runs in the morning and playing with the kids in the back yard in the evening would be the ultimate! (Children over 10 for this guy). Scooter loves going for car rides (he loves to press his nose against the window) and playing on the beach too!
Scooter does like to test the boundaries when he wants to do something (that you don't want him to do) so he will need a home where he will still have consistent rules and boundaries but with POSITIVE FORCE FREE methods only. He does know his basic manners and will sit and wait for his food, is very easy to walk on his harness, is crate and house trained. He is currently living with another dog and a cat but a cat/chicken/small fluffy animals free home would be best.
Scooter has shown no interest in cows or horses but will only be homed to a property with SECURE fencing (NO farm fencing) as he will wander if given the opportunity.
As with all Pound Hounds, Scooter must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
