Adoption Status: Available to Adopt

Foster Status: In foster care

DOB:  approx 4 years old

Sex: Male

Breed: Blue Heeler x Collie

Size: Short Stocky Medium

Fencing Requirements: Minimum 1.5m or higher secure, dog-proof fencing around the home. Bronson has been a wanderer previously so any property - rural or town - will need to have secure fencing.

Hobbies: Going on adventures and walkies, lying in the sun, cuddles, being with his people, playing tug and fetch,  sniffies on walks, chewing on his bone or kong toy, car rides, hide and seek food games, BALL IS LIFE

Good Habits:  Affectionate, friendly, VERY social with hoomans, social with dogs and cats, already has lovely manners (sit, lie down, drop, away etc), very easy to be around, house trained, crate trained, knows how to play gently, eager to please, great with kids, has lived rurally previously so we anticipate he'll be good with livestock as well (although this hasn't been tested, he's been great with everything and everyone he's met so far), rarely barks, good recall

Bad Habits: He doesn't really have any! Amazing we know! If we HAD to say something, it's that sometimes he enjoys sniffing a bit more than walking and will try to get to the really good sniffs to have a really good sniff - but if you're good with that then he doesn't have any bad habits that we're aware of.

Personality Type: Very people oriented, affectionate, happy go lucky, outgoing and confident, cuddly, wants to hang out with you and do what you're doing, playful, knows how to chill out

Special Requirements: None that we're aware of

Ideal Home: Bronson would love to find a happy, fun home with hoomans of his very own. He is currently in a foster home with kids and he adores snuggling up with the youngest for naps or to watch some tv. We would recommend a home with children 7 years and over. He's a medium-highish energy guy and would love a home where he got out for good (minimum 1 hour) adventures every day, he'd make a fab walking or hiking bud. Bronson is good with all dogs, but he's not really interested in them, much preferring the company of hoomans instead so a home where he could be the only dog would be ideal for him. Bronson much prefers having someone with him during the day so this is what we'd love to find for him - in his current foster home he is happy on his own for half the day so someone who works from home part or full time would be fab for this guy.

Adoption Fee: $320

Bronson is a dude. He' everything you'd look for in a best mate - loyal, affectionate but not too much, has great manners, is loads of fun to be around and is a fab listener. He was a roamer previously but despite that, never caused any trouble - only heading as far as the nearest hoomans to hang out and keep them company. This got him put in doggy jail where his owners never came back to get him. He's been great in his foster home though, he spends about 4 hours home on his own during the day and is happy to just lay around and wait for his hoomans to return.

Bronson LOVES hoomans. When saying hi, he will walk over to you, give you a kiss then flop down ready for a belly rub. He thinks everybody is a new friend and he is particularly great with kids, the youngest hooman member of his foster family and Bronson can often be found snuggled up together watching movies or out on the deck in the sun taking a nap together. Bronson has a beautiful nature and doesn't have a mean bone in his body with hoomans OR animals.

Bronson loves playing with his ball, he is in his happy place when chewing or chasing a ball and playing fetch. He loves food games where you can hide a treat and send him outside to sniff it out or hide food in his kong toy, he'll spend ages trying to get out every last piece - this sort of game is great for a smart boy like Bronson as it works his brain - something smart dogs need. He loves bush walks where he can roam and sniff around in nature and is always keen to go for a walk around town any time day or night, he is also happy to go for rides in the car where he can hang his head out the window and look at everything going by.

Bronson is absolutely fine with other dogs, they can approach him/bark at him and he just shrugs it off like they aren't even there. He is not phased at all by other dogs barking, you just need to say "Brons come" and he will come straight away. If anything he's a little indifferent to other dogs, much preferring hooman company instead. For this reason we believe Bronson would best enjoy a home where he's the only dog. Bronson is fine with cats, maybe even a little scared of them. He currently lives with 2 cats and they have learnt to get along nicely.

Bronson really is a best mate sort of guy, loyal and loving, he just wants to hang out and enjoy your company. He loves to play tug, get out on hikes and adventures, would make a fab walking buddy, is fab in the car and loves everyone and everything. What more could you ask for! He'd even make a great dog for a first time dog owner.

Can you offer Bronson a safe forever home full of adventures, company, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, and most importantly loads of love for the rest of her days?

As with all Pound Hounds, Bronson must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Preference will be given to those experienced with the Blue Heeler breed but this is not a necessity.

Thanks for checking out handsome Bronson's profile! We cant wait to find his forever hoomans, could that be you?
