Special Requirements: Secure fencing
Ideal Home: An active household, with owners who like to run/walk further than around the block. Alex has been a family dog, but he does get excited so best suited to older children (over 10) if kids in the family
Adoption Fee: $185
Alex has previously been a loved family pet, but the property didn’t have high fencing and Alex was able to jump over easily. Alex has a social nature and just loves attention. He is also very responsive to correction, and really wants to please you. He hates grumpy voices and immediately becomes submissive if he thinks he has done something wrong.
Alex loves going for car rides, walks and adventures! He'd make a great hiking or running buddy. He pulls a little at first (he's just excited) but then settles down and walks beautifully on harness. He's very eager to please and very intelligent so any further training should be a breeze. He's been fine around horses and not scared of traffic. He's also been paddling in the water during his adventures and seems to like cooling his feet in it. After a good walk, Alex settles right down and lazes about in the sunshine.Alex is a sweetheart who would love to keep learning and developing with a hooman of his very own. If you're looking for a happy guy to take out on adventures with you, Alex may be your man!
Could you offer Alex a comfy bed, quality food, and loads of love and daily exercise? Plus games and training and fun? If so, Alex would love to meet you.
As with all Pound Hounds, Alex must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
