Adoption Status: Available
Foster Status: In Foster Care
DOB: Approx February 2019
Breed: Miniature Jack Russell Terrier (we have been told that he is a pure bred, I know, looks Foxy right?)
Size: Small (approx 5.5kgs)
Fencing Requirements: Minimum 1.5m of secure, dog-proof fencing around the home
Hobbies: Hanging out with his people, playing, bouncing, getting the loves, playing with the kitties and doggy foster sister in his foster home
Good Habits: Very social with hoomans, very social with dogs, affectionate, house trained, good with cats, quiet (doesn't bark much).
Bad Habits: Jumps up and grabs at your hand to get attention (but the foster home is working on this), gets very excited when meeting new people so is learning manners
Personality Type: Very happy, bouncy boy. Medium-high energy, he looooves to run and play and has typical JR enthusiasm for the outdoors.
Special Requirements: None that we are aware of.
Ideal Home: An active fun home with daily walks and play time would be great for Brando. He would do best in a home where he got to hang out with his people and help (supervise) you during the day. He is little but thinks he's big and has lived on a farm previously so would love a home where he had other doggy friends and got to have lots of exercise.
Adoption Fee: $320
Brando is a bit of a character! He loves to bounce and follow around his foster mum around the house. He's only a little guy but this definitely doesn't hold him back! He loves to race around and play like the big kids do!
Brando has been good with all dogs he has met so far (big and small) and has even been great with the cats in his foster home! (he chases the kitten but that's only to play). He has lived on a farm previously but would wander so he will require a home with secure fencing. He is currently in a foster home with another dog, two cats and a kitten.
Brando is now fully house trained and crate trained and loves nothing more than hanging out with his people, playing with his family (or doggy friends - or kitty ones!) and getting attention and cuddles. Being the little guy that he is, any new hooman would need to be prepared to keep Brando safe and out of trouble in everyday life.
Can you offer Brando, adventures, company, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, safety and most importantly loads of love for the rest of his days?
As with all Pound Hounds, Brando must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Would prefer a home with children over 8
