Maggie is a smart and sweet girl with a whole lot of enthusiasm for life, as most puppies do.  She is happy and outgoing girl who would thrive with someone who is willing and able to take the time to teach her all things a good doggy citizen should know and take her to cool places like dog obedience. Maggie will benefit from positive socialisation around people, kids, cats, dogs, stock, chickens and the like.  She loves attention and will thrive in a regular, stable home environment with lots of daily outings and adventures thrown in to keep her life interesting.

Maggie is currently in a foster home with another dog and kids (who she's very good with) and has regular doggy play dates outside of her foster home. She has slotted on in to her foster home super well and her foster mum says shes a smart and very loving girl who everyone falls in love with as soon as they meet her. Although she does require regular exercise (more than around the block) once she's had her exercise she will happily laze about for the rest of the day, until the evening when it's time to play again. This girl also LOVES water, she loves to splash around and play (and sometimes just wallow) in her paddling pool on a warm day so swimming would be another fab way to exercise her.

As with all Pound Hounds Rescue dogs, Maggie must be allowed inside the home (including to sleep) so she can really be part of the family.  She will also require a comfy bed, quality (puppy) food, loads of love and regular flea and worm treatments.

Please research the Lurcher breed to decide if it would be the best breed for your family. Lurchers make wonderful family members and are very intelligent so need to be mentally stimulated every day (puzzle games, trick training, agility, obedience training, Frisbee trick training, all things a Lurcher would enjoy) and do need regular exercise (mornings are best, then they can laze around for the rest of the day before heading out again in the evening for a play). Lurchers make fantastic running/hiking/long distance walking buddies and although they do need regular exercise, are also happy to laze around the house once they've had their exercise.
