Adoption Status: Available
Foster Status: In Foster Care
DOB: Approx January 2016
Breed: Lurcher (Whippet x Beardie?)
Size: Small Medium (currently approx 18-20kg, he's not a big guy)
Fencing Requirements: Minimum 1.8m of secure, dog-proof fencing around the home
Hobbies: Going on adventures, cuddles on the sofa in front of the fire, going for rides in the car, WALKIES (he'd make a fab running/hiking buddy), being up high (Nev loves to climb stuff -especially into the back of your car, on top of the firewood pile...)
Good Habits: Clean, smart, quiet, crate trained, toilet trained, looooooves people, gentle, affectionate but not needy, loves other dogs (especially the girls), playful, great recall (once he knows you of course)
Bad Habits: Super social with most dogs, but not so keen on some entire male dogs. Might dig a hole if he's bored...
Personality Type: Soft and sweet, an absolute honey with people BUT he does have hunting instincts with small furry things so will need a cat and small critter free home.
Special Requirements: Daily exercise is an absolute must for this boy.
Ideal Home: A calm and quiet household with daily walks and adventures, then just relaxing around the home. Older children (over 14) or a child free home would be best - he likes his people calm and quiet, just like him. His perfect day would be getting up from his nice warm bed in the morning to head on out for a really great (minimum 1 hour) walk or run, then home for breakfast and to laze in the sunshine for the day till you get home, then another walk and some play time before dinner and snuggles on the couch by the fire with a spot of tv.
Adoption Fee: $285
Neville is one out of the box. He is soft and gentle and the loveliest dog but he's got character too. He's a handsome and happy guy, keen to climb up beside you for a chest rub but happy to do his own thing too - he's not needy but he IS a best mate sort of guy.
Neville deserves the very best home, and we are determined to find that home for him. He's great on lead, great in the car, a GREAT size (that perfect small medium) and pretty much all round great...although his new hooman will need to be mindful that some entire male dogs annoy him a bit so dog parks would be a no go. He loves being active and getting out for a spot of exercise so would LOVE to be someone's walking, running, cycling or hiking buddy - he's not an around the block sort of guy. He's in a foster home that has HEAPS of other dogs coming and going and his current bestie is Bonnie the Chihuahua.
We love this guy, he's the ultimate package wrapped up in a handy sized little body. Perfect for those looking for a best bud to share their life with. He's loyal and loving and eager to be there for ya, without being in your face. We can't wait to find our Nev his forever human. Neville wants to be loved, and he will give 200% back to you.
Can you offer Neville games, adventures, fun, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, cuddles, and good conversation?
Do you have an understanding for what individual dogs need, and are you committed to providing for those needs?
As with all Pound Hounds, Neville must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
ADDITIONAL INFO: No young children, No cats
