Riley is a handsome guy with a great personality. We've just got him into a foster home this week and he's LOVING it!
Riley is house trained and loves nothing more than hanging out and playing with his people and playing with his toys - except maybe food... He loves to get out for a walk and would make the ideal running buddy. We believe Riley would do best in a home where he could go for a good run in the morning before you head out for the day and have loads of toys to play with till you get home from work before playtime and another walk and then dinner and a bit of tv while sharing the couch - he reckons bonus points if he gets to spend the whole day with you but he understands if you can't. Riley is very eager to please but he is still a young fella so sometimes the independent streak kicks in. He is super keen to learn what you want from him though and very food motivated so any (force free) training should be a breeze. He is a strong breed though so he will need rules and boundaries to keep him safe and a good member of doggy society.
We're still learning about Riley at the moment but have to say we've got a bit of a soft spot for this guy - despite his tough looking exterior he's really a great guy just waiting for his chance. He does appear to be dog social (especially with the ladies) but we haven't had a lot of chances to test him much with the lock down. We DO know however that he will chase cats if given the chance so a cat free home would be best.
Can you offer Riley a safe home full of adventures, company, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, and most importantly loads of love for the rest of his days?
As with all Pound Hounds, Riley must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so he can really be part of the family.
