Rose is a very pretty girl with an affectionate, happy and outgoing nature once she knows you're not mean. In between naps she loves to play and learn all about the world. Her favourite toys are the squeaky kind - they're the most fun!
This kid had a really rough start to life and came into our care in a bit of a state, but with loads of love, great food, flea and worm treatments and some vet care she has bounced back and although still a little reserved when she first meets new people, once she realises that you aren't mean, she is a happy, cuddly little lady. Rose is now ready to find her forever home with people who will continue building her confidence and showing her that the world is a great place to be in when you've got a loving home.
*Weak Stomach Warning*
Rose is a good advertisement for regularly worming and flea treating your animals. She and her brother Rico came to us in a bit of a state, so loaded with worms their poor bellies were way to big for their little bodies. They were also so infested with fleas (poor little Rico had bald patches all over his little body where his fur had either fallen out or he had itched himself till he rubbed his skin raw). We whipped both Rose and Rico off to our wonderful vets straight away, got them checked over (and their other injuries treated) and got them started on feeling better and now they're happy, healthy little tykes.
Rose is approximately 12 weeks old and a mixed breed (no guesses on breed - even her official paperwork says cross breed, you'd need a DNA test to know for sure). She has been in foster care with other dogs, cats, kittens, a bunny, pigs and sheep. She currently ignores the cats so a home with a confident cat while she is still little could work with proper introductions (results may vary, no guarantees). She is still a baby and is currently teething so she chews everything and takes lots of naps.
A home where she will be raised to be a great member of doggy society by being included in family outings where she can safely learn about the world, going to cool things like puppy preschool and obedience training will be important for Rose. As she is still a baby, a home where someone is there (or with her) for most of the day is a must. If there are children in the home, gentle children over 10 would be best.
Rose is a sensitive girl who has had a rough start and although she has bounced back, as with all our Poundies, we only recommend positive force free training methods.
Can you offer Rose lots of love, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, quality food, daily walks when she's old enough and lots of toys to play with?
As with all Pound Hounds, Rose must be allowed to be inside the home (this includes to sleep) so she can really be a member of the family.
