Personality Type: High energy but will settle once exercised properly, loving, sweet natured
Special Requirements: None that we're aware of
Ideal Home: Sage is an active girl and gets very anxious when she doesn't have enough exercise or mental stimulation, so she will need an active home with a hooman that will also work her brain with training games and food puzzles (she's not a walk around the block sort of kid, an hour minimum or two walks a day for this kid so no good for couch potatoes). She LOVES her people and just wants to spend all her time with you, so a home where she gets to hang out with her hoomans all day is a big bonus. Sage is good with other dogs but does get over-excited quickly so a calm male dog in the home would be best or a home on her own. Sage is fab with children however due to her exciteability, we would recommend a home with children over the age of 8 years.
Adoption Fee: $320
Sage is a gorgeous girl in both looks and nature. She craves hooman attention and will do whatever she can to please her people. She would THRIVE in a home where she gets to hang out with her hoomans all day, be a part of the family and get to go out of the property for daily adventures and sniff sessions. She is definitely the sort that would LOVE to be a lap dog if she's allowed.
We would love a home for Sage where she would get not only the exercise and mental stimulation she needs but the love and affection she craves. She does best with calm and confident dog people so a calm home with relaxed and easy going hoomans would be great for her mental health.
Sage is an intelligent and active girl, she would make a fab running or hiking buddy and would likely do well in any sort of obedience or scent training activity. She is eager to please and food motivated (although more people motivated than food) so this should make any additional training a breeze.
Sage has interacted with other dogs and appears to be dog social, she does however get over-excited very quickly and does play rough so would not suit doggy daycare or the dog park. Sage has lived with a cat previously, so aconfident cat in the home who stands it's ground and tells her who's boss may be ok.
Sage is a known wanderer and will take herself for a walk given the opportunity so a home with VERY secure, dog proof fencing and gates/front doors that are always closed will be a must.
Can you offer Sage a safe home full of adventures, company, quality food, a warm bed, regular flea and worm treatments, and most importantly loads of love for the rest of her days?
As with all Pound Hounds, Sage must be allowed inside the home (this includes sleeping) so she can really be part of the family.
