Ideal Home:

Honey came into our care in a bit of a round about way. From one of our partner vet clinics, to the pound, then straight to us. A member of the public was asked to watch her while her owner went into a shop - her owner never came back and any attempts to find him were in vain. But now she's in a wonderful foster home learning all the good things a pupper her age should know - and really, how could we resist that face.

Honey started out with us in a temporary foster home with three cats and a young child. She adored the cats - and they all made sure she knew who was boss - often trying to cuddle up to them on the couch. She was also very well behaved with the young child in the home, she's a very fast learner and learned very quickly to be gentle. She also got to meet a number of dogs while in this foster home (safely of course) and LOVED to play with them all.

She is now in a foster home with two large dogs and three young children in a busy household with lots going on and she's doing great there too! She's already learned so much from her foster family who are amazing at teaching our babies all the good stuff they should know.

Honey is a happy, confident, sassy, but sweet natured little lady (hence the name) who lights up a room with her cuteness and chaos (in a good way). If you're looking for a new family member who wants to be your best girl, stop looking - Honey is right here.

Honey loves to explore outside, play with her toys and do zoomies with the big doggy kids, but also loves to have cuddles and snuggle up with a hooman for a nap or for more toy chewing. With her fun, outgoing, confident but sweet personality, Honey would be a great addition to any household that loves to hang out with their doggo, have adventures and play. She loves kids, adults, dogs, cats, everyone really so would fit into just about any home.

Honey is currently living in a foster home with 2 adult dogs (one male, one female), has stayed with cats and three younger children (under 10). We think a home with kids (5+) would suit her best. She'd do fine in a home with a cat that stands up for itself (with some appropriate direction from hoomans of course) and would love an older male dog with a gentle but playful nature to learn from.

While she doesn't have crazy energy, Honey is an active girl so wouldn't suit a couch potato lifestyle. She's what we'd call medium energy - loves a good zoom and to get out every day for a good walk (not just a walk around the block) with a good play session with her hoomans thrown in for good measure and we think once she's grown up she's going to make a fantastic adventure buddy. She is still a baby and does need lots of naps (she's still learning how to "switch off" but is getting MUCH better at it). She is crate trained and especially loves getting her special treat every time it's nap time. With something to chew on in her crate, she's quite content so we would recommend any future family continue with his crate training - especially to help her continue to learn about "switching off" when it's time to chill (and so she doesn't try to get food from the dinner table haha).

Honey's foster family say: "Honey is a sweet, gentle soul with a cheeky side. She loves to be involved in anything that you’re doing, but is also learning that it’s okay to be alone for short periods too. She is probably one of the most adoptable pups I've fostered so far."

Honey lives up to her name, she's an awesome girl who adapts beautifully. She will need a home that can provide clear and consistent rules and boundaries. She would do best with a hooman who is experienced with smart doggos and who understands that kids like Honey thrive on physical AND mental stimulation.

Any future hoomans for Honey must be prepared to continue teaching her all the things a good pupper should know so she can grow into a good doggy citizen. We reckon she'd love to attend a good Puppy preschool with her hooman to continue learning all the good things she needs to know.

Please do your research on working breeds before applying - Honey is a beautiful natured girl but would best suit a family (or hooman) looking for a kid they can do stuff with - whether that's just lots of adventures and trying new things together, or getting into fun training things that will work her brain, scent work etc.

If you can provide Honey with a fully fenced property, quality food, regular flea and worm treatments, a comfy and warm bed, a comfy couch to nap on, toys and most of all lots of love for the rest of her days, click on the apply to adopt button and complete the application form.

Thanks for checking out gorgeous girl Honey's profile! We cant wait to help her find her forever hoomans, could that be you?
