Porter and his 6 sibilings came into Animal Control care at only ONE day old! Sadly their mama passed away while giving birth to them. At 1 week old, they came to us and have been in their amazing foster homes ever since. They've received the very best care and have all been able to be around adult doggos that have been their surrogate mamas so they've had the opportunity to be well socialised with other dogs and have also had the benefit of staying with their littermates, which means they have had the ability to learn all the good things any pupper needs to learn from their littermates too. Because they have all been bottle fed, they are also very affectionate and social pups with hoomans too.
Porter is still a baby so he will need someone home with him during the day.
This very handsome little man is the sweetest little guy and the smallest of the siblings in his foster home, he can still rough and tumble with the rest of them though! He also loves a cuddle and will make his way inside your jumper for a nap.
Porter is a little bit more cautious about life and takes a bit longer to come out of his shell in new situations but absolutely adores people and quickly warms up to new things once he feels safe. He's the first of his siblings to crawl in your lap for a cuddle or inside your jumper for a warm nap any time you sit down. He's also the first to come when called.
Porter is in a foster home with 3 of his siblings as well as three adult dogs, a cat and a turtle. He he loves to play with and follow around the adult dogs in the house who have been like surrogate Mamas to him and his siblings. He would love a home with another dog to learn all the good things from and play with. He is good with the cat in his foster home and just ignores it now (the cat has made sure the babes know who's boss)
Porter has been around kids since he came into our care and he loves people. We believe he would do best in a home that's either kid free or with kids 8+ who are gentle and kind but that would love to play with him. We believe he would prefer a calm and quiet but fun home. He's not a couch potato so will need hoomans who will enjoy taking him on daily walks and weekend adventures to see the world, as well as someone to cuddle up with on the couch in the evenings of course.
His foster mum says: "He is the cutest and sweetest boy, loves cuddles and being close by and knowing where we are. He does like to bite and hold my hair though, so make sure you keep your hair tied up haha."
Porter will need a family committed to making sure he learns all the things a good pupper should know so he can grow into a good doggy citizen.
If you can provide Porter with a fully fenced property, quality food, regular flea and worm treatments, a comfy and warm bed, a comfy couch to nap on, toys and most of all lots of love for the rest of his days, click on the apply to adopt button and complete the application form.
Thanks for checking out handsome guy Porter's profile! We cant wait to help him find his forever hoomans, could that be you?
