Welcome to RESCUED Op Shop! Just minutes from Cambridge's town centre, pop in and discover our constantly changing collection of quality clothing, curated finds, unexpected gems, and know every purchase helps local rescue dogs.
Whether you’re searching for something special or love the thrill of a good find, there’s always something new to discover. Everything in-store has been hand-selected by our volunteers to ensure quality, charm, and value.
And the best part? Every purchase supports the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs across the Waikato- from giving pound dogs a second chance, to our No Parvo No Puppies Program that provides free Parvo-virus vaccinations, microchipping, parasite treatment and food for dogs most in need.

You’ll find RESCUED Op Shop at 15 Wordsworth Street, Leamington, 3432- tucked between the back of Cambridge Fitness Centre and Cambridge Travel Lines (opposite Elim Church). You can’t miss our bright pink buildings and big metal fence- they’re part of our charm!
Open: Wednesday to Saturday, 9:30am - 4pm.
There’s plenty of off-street parking right outside, and donation drop-offs are welcome during opening hours.

Every item you donate helps raise money for dogs and their families that have nowhere else to turn. We welcome quality, saleable items that our volunteers can proudly display in store.

Clothing in good condition (men’s, women’s, and children’s)
St Peter’s School uniforms
Linen, tableware, and kitchen items
Toys, games, and puzzles
Sports gear, bags, and accessories
Bric-a-brac and collectibles

Items we can't accept
Mattresses
Electric blankets
Whiteware (fridges, freezers, washing machines, etc.)
Items that are badly damaged, mouldy, dirty, or missing key parts
Weapons or anything that could be considered dangerous
We gladly accept donations during our regular opening hours. Simply come in store and ask one of our friendly volunteers for help unloading- we’re always happy to lend a hand.
Shop Assistant

Twice Rescued
Want to put your creativity to work for a cause? Our Twice Rescued volunteers are talented knitters, sewers, woodworkers, and crafters who who create handmade items for our RESCUED label. By giving fabric, wood, and odds and ends a second life, they help keep usable items out of landfill and fill our shop with one-of-a-kind pieces made with love.
Best for: Those who enjoy crafting, sewing, knitting, or building- especially people who prefer helping from home or at their own pace while knowing their work makes a real difference.

What do profits go toward?
100 percent of profits support Pound Hounds Rescue’s programs helping dogs from pounds across the North Island as well as their No Parvo No Puppies Community Desexing and Vaccination program, helping dogs and their families in our community.

Absolutely! We keep prices low so everyone can shop sustainably. You’ll find quality second-hand clothing, furniture, and homewares at a fraction of retail prices.
Are dogs allowed in the shop?
We love dogs, and we do allow them on the property, but for health and safety reasons, we ask that only service dogs enter the op shop.
Can I donate large items?
Yes- we accept small furniture and larger donations by arrangement. Please contact us before dropping them off.
