Hobbies: Playing with his toys (he likes to throw them around for himself), exploring, naps, snuggles, more naps (preferably in your lap), making new hooman friends, being the goodest boy, smiling, loves being brushed

Good Habits: SUPER people friendly, very eager to please, house and crate trained, very obedient, food motivated, easy to have around, gentle with kids, loves every hooman he meets

Bad Habits: Not great with cats (although has lived with them before), scared of other dogs (yes, scared - he's been attacked a few times)

Personality Type: Medium energy, happy, affectionate, loves to hang out with his hoomans

Ideal Home: Shiloh is a super affectionate boy and would be the ideal bestie for someone looking for a quiet, happy and loyal friend to spend their time with. He will happily just hang out in the same space as you while you get on with your day. He is SUPER people oriented and has yet to meet a person he doesn't like, and anyone who talks kindly to him is rewarded with happy feet, a massive smile and a Shiloh dance. He is able to be home alone during the day but we'd love a home for him where he can hang out with his hooman at least some of the day. Shiloh is great with kids of all ages but we would recommend either a home without kids or kids over 14. He's a big boy and would get very upset if he accidently hurt someone whilst playing - he's also keen on the quiet life so a home that's laid back, calm and quiet would suit him best.

Shiloh needs a home without other animals. While he has lived with cats previously, he will chase them if they run. He has also been attacked by other dogs previously so is fearful of other dogs when they come near. We have been working on this with our trainer but he will need a home with someone who doesn't care that he doesn't want dog friends - he's more than happy with his hooman ones thanks. His new hooman will need to be prepared to advocate for Shiloh and allow him space from other dogs so that he can build his confidence. He's at an age now where although he's still got plenty of energy, he's looking to take life a bit easier and if that means he doesn't go around other dogs, he's fine with that. If a dog RAH's at him, he will RAH back but otherwise takes a wide berth to try and avoid them.

Shiloh has been a wanderer for most of his life, so a securely fenced property is a must for him. He loves to get out for his daily walks and adventures, it's super exciting for him so he can pull a little but we've been working on this with him (he'd never been on a leash before, he'd always taken himself for a walk) and he's doing great!

Shiloh loves to be the centre of attention and get alllll the cuddles. He thinks he's a lap dog and will happily park either his big butt or his big fat head on your lap and have a nap. His foster dad says "he plays hard and he naps hard". He also has said that every single person who has met Shiloh has fallen in love with the big lug - he's just that sort of guy.

Shiloh is a wonderful older guy with still plenty of life left in him yet. He's super easy to have around, a great listener, entertains himself with his toys (he likes to throw them around for himself if you aren't doing it), does the odd zoomie and is just generally an amazing guy. He's just waiting for the day he has a hooman of his very own who will give him the best life he could ask for, with loads of adventures, loads of naps and loads of snuggles on the couch.
